It is a pleasure having breakfast on the house’s large terrace which offers you a charming and fantastic view over the “Poets’ Gulf”. You are in 'Viseggi', a small village on the hills of La Spezia, about 5 km from the town’s center. The panorama allows you to see a zone of 360°, from Lerici to Portovenere, from the Vara Valley to the fascinating pink reflexes of the “Apuan Alps”.

Once a typical farmer house, today an elegant residence - 'Il Gelsomino'. Together with the house’s owners you can discover the nature’s fragrances and voices - even though you are close to the city.
At your disposal three rooms, classically furnished, and a private car park. The rich and abundant “continental” breakfast can be enjoyed or inside or on the terrace with a view over the Gulf of La Spezia.

By car, train or using the Gulf’s ferry boats you can reach within a few moments the area’s most interesting locations. It is almost obligatory to go and see Portovenere, the villages of the Cinque Terre, and Lerici. And of course there are different historical and military museums.
From the terrace you can see the “Apuan Alps” which can be reached within an hour. There you can have a look at the white marble quarries of Carrara. Tourist and informative material and of course advises and suggestions are at your disposal.

It is possible to go and see the astronomical observatory which is very close to the house; moreover, the area offers a riding-ground, diving centers, tennis courts and the rocks of the “Muzzerone”, which invites you to practice freeclimbing over the sea.

How to arrive

Leaving the motorway A12 and A15 at toll-gate La Spezia or Brugnato. In the first case go towards the town and then towards Genoa. In the second case go towards La Spezia. In both cases: once arrived on the highest point of the area “La Foce”, continue for Via Montalbano, after 700 meters turn left for Via Viseggi, after 300 meters ... you are arrived!!!
