Levanto, Bonassola, Framura, Deiva Marina Before the village was integrated into the Republic of Genoa, it had been an antique feud of the Malaspina and of the Da Passano (before 1229).
Levanto obtained many privileges from the "Superba" (Genoa): it had its own statute and a complete administrative autonomy.
The eastern part of the village is surrounded by the city walls: to visit: the church of Sant'Andrea, a sumptuous example of the Ligurian gothic style; the medieval Loggia built in 1264 (in Piazza del Popolo); and the castle of Sant'Andrea built in the 11th century by the Malaspina.
